Muhasabah "Self Introspection",

Praise be to Allah who promised to those who introspect and restrain him with a sense of security on the day promised. I praise Him, (He is) the Most Holy, the glorified saints of his, and confers on them an additional day (it is). I testify that there is no god except God of truth the Mighty, the Praised. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger, he is the best caller to the straight path and direction, May shalawat, keep blessing and greetings terlimpah on him, family and his companions that they are role models for humans in muhasabah. By warning of a very great day kegoncangannya. Neither the tabi'in who followed them with kindness until the day that is not possible to escape from it.

O servants of Allah, I bequeath myself and you to fear Allah and introspection. Due to the muhasabah, then the soul will be committed and, perfect and happy. Allah Ta'ala says:

يا أيها الذين آمنوا اتقوا الله ولتنظر نفس ما قدمت لغد واتقوا الله إن الله خبير بما تعملون

"O ye who believe, fear Allah and let every soul consider what he has done for tomorrow (hereafter), and fear Allah, surely Allah is Aware of what ye do" [Surah Al-Hashr 59:18]

Ibn Kathir in his commentary rahimahullah said: "The Word of God ولتنظر نفس ما قدمت لغد, meaning introspeksilah yourselves before you are brought to account, and note the pious deeds which you have prepared for days and accountability before God.

Allah says:

ونفس وما سواها. فألهمها فجورها وتقواها. قد أفلح من زكاها. وقد خاب من دساها

"And the soul and perfected (creation), God inspires the soul (the road) wickedness and piety, which indeed successful who purifies the soul. And actually lost the person who contaminated "(Surat ash-Shams 7-10)

Imam Al-Badawy rahimahullah said in his commentary: "Al-Hasan said: It means really lucky people who purify, refine and redirect him to obey Allah 'Azza wa Jalla:

قد خاب من دساها, that is, destroy, misleading and aimed at immoral deeds.

In a hadith from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet ^ said: "People who are good are the people introspect themselves and do good for after death, while the weak person is a person whose soul is always subject to the passion and hope in God with a variety of wishful thinking" ( Reported by Ahmad and Tirmidhi)

Imam Ahmad narrated in the Book of Az-Zuhd of Umar ibn al-Khattab that he said: "Take into account before you count yourself, weigh yourself before you are weighed, because it's easier for you later judgment, Berhiaslah to face the day of reckoning

يومئذ تعرضون لا تخفى منكم خافية: "On that day you are confronted (the Lord), there is nothing hidden from your situation (to Allah)" (Surah Al-Haaqqah: 18)

Rahimahullah narrated from Ibn al-Qayyim al-Hasan that he said: "A believer is good at controlling himself, always menghisab himself before God. Judgment on the Day of Judgement it will be mild for those who always take into account for the world. Instead, it will be hard for people who never consider themselves ".

Wahab said as narrated by Imam Ahmad rahimahullah: "In the wisdom of David's family is written:" It is appropriate for people who have sense not to negligent than four times:

- When the Lord bermunajat

- Time introspection

- We gather together with relatives (and friends) that tells about the shortage and the state itself - and the refreshing / relaxing by doing something that is lawful and good, because at that time will make it easier for him to do time at the top and at the same time be careful entertainer.

Maimun bin Mahran said: "A servant will not achieve the degree of self-restraint until he menghisab himself over someone on a partner. Because it is said: "The soul is like the Companions who like treason, if you are not watching, then he will carry off his property".

Umar ibn Khattab y write (letter) on some officials: "Take into account the time you are happy before coming heavy calculations. Whoever menghisab himself in time before the calculation of the heavy excited, then he will be pleased and prosper. Conversely, anyone who lives melalaikannya and passions keep her busy, then he will regret it and get a loss "(Bayhaqi in al-Wahd and Ibn 'Asakir)

Ibn al-Jawzi narrated in (the Book) Dzammul Eve of As-Sulamy said: I heard Abul-Husayn al-Farisy said: I heard Abu Muhammad al-Hariri said: "Whoever is ruled by his soul, he will be in captive and locked in lust prison passions.

God forbid for him to receive benefits, so that he can not feel the beauty of his word even though he had a lot of reading. Said Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Salman rahimahullah in his book: Mawarid adh-Dzam-aan: "If he is aware that he will be asked later in the calculation of the case as small as a mustard seed, on the day of the measure is fifty thousand years, which at that time much-needed variety of goodness, and forgiveness of sins, then I saw that would not survive the difficulties later, but by relying on God, and His help for self-introspection, muraqabah, and oversee the soul in every motion geriknya. Whoever menghisab himself before the reckoning, calculation itself will be lighter on the Day of Judgement, there will be an answer when he was facing the question, and the final end is good.

O soul, be prepared with supplies that you can

O my soul, before (coming of) death, you were not created in vain

Beware of falling into disrepute and humbly left;

The door of God, how much He Gives guidance and forgiveness

Fear the upheavals of life

Get a grip, do not be like those who fell

In the abyss humiliation ...

Says Ibn al-Minhaj Qudama in Qashidin: "Ketauhilah that the most dangerous enemy is the soul that is in you, he has a passion ammara bissuu ', inclined to evil. You are instructed to straighten, clean, and cut them off from many negative influences as well as directing the force chains to serve the Lord. If you shrugged it off, then he will be released without any control and you have no luck after that. If you are constantly reminded that we expect will be a quiet soul. Therefore do not be negligent to remind her ".

Know, O servants of Allah, that muhasabah that there are several kinds:

Ibn al-Qayyim said rahimahullah: Muhasabah there are two kinds, before the charity and afterwards.

* The first type: Prior to charity, namely to think for a moment when they wanted to do something, and do not directly work to a real benefit for him to do or not. Al-Hasan said: "May God have mercy on a servant who lived in the moment when terdetik fikirannya one thing, if it is the practice of obedience to God, then he did it, otherwise if not, then he left."

* The second type: Introspection themselves after doing the deed. There are three types:

1. Introspect observance relates to rights that have not fully God he did, then he also muhasabah, whether he has done obedience to God as He wills or not?

2. Introspection against any act which left it is better than doing it.

3. Introspection about the permissible cases or has become a habit, why should he do? Does he expect the face of God and the last world country? So (thus) he will be lucky, or he wants the world to the mortal? So she began to lose money and not be successful.

Muhasabah have a positive impact and tremendous benefits, including:

Knowing his own disgrace. Those who do not check the disgrace himself, then he would not be possible to eliminate them.
With bermuhasabah, someone will be critical to him in fulfilling the rights of God. Thus the situation of the Salaf, they reproach themselves in fulfilling the rights of God. Imam Ahmad narrates from Abu Darda 'y that he said: "Someone said that no faqih in good faith until he was rebuked men in terms of the rights of God, and he determined to correct himself.
Said Muhammad bin Wasi 'rahimahullah with condescending tone of self, but he is an expert on worship: "If sin smell, certainly nothing like sitting with me"

Rahimahullah Ibn al-Qayyim said: "Denouncing yourself in the Essence of God is included shiddiqin properties (those who correctly), a servant will be close to Allah Ta'ala in an instant, many times exceeding her through his charity".

Said Abu Bakr As-Siddiq y: "Anyone who denounced him relating to the rights of Allah (against him), Allah will give him the security of his wrath"

Among the fruits of muhasabah is to help the soul to muraqabah. If he meant to do in his lifetime, he will rest in his time of death. If he restrain himself and menghisabnya now, then he will break later in the day of time awesomeness.
Among his men were going door open for someone humiliation and submission before God.
5. Greatest benefit to be gained is luck in and occupy Paradise Paradise and looked at Lord's face, the Most Sacred Majesty. Conversely, if he wasted it then he will lose and go to hell, and hindered from (see) Allah and burned in a painful adzab.

No introspection and wasted it will bring great losses. Rahimahullah Ibn al-Qayyim said: "The most dangerous is the attitude did not heed, do not want muhasabah, and oversimplify matters, as this will convey the destruction. Thus the state of people who are deceived, he closed his eyes from the consequences (actions) and rely solely on forgiveness, so he does not introspect himself and think of the end. If he does this, it would be easy for him to fall into sin and he would love to do, and heavy to leave. If he understands, he would have realized that it is easier to prevent than to stop and abandon the habit.

If you have always indulged in every delicacy

You will not forget ....

If you constantly fill the coffers of the passions

He will drag you to the bad deeds and forbidden

So fear God, O servants of Allah, introspeksilah yourself, for good and survival of the liver is by muhasabah, otherwise cause damage is by no heed and wallowing in the delights of passion and lust and disregard cases that could improve it. So beware of it, surely you yourself will be glorious and happy at the moment to meet with your Lord (Allah). May the prayers and greetings remain devoted to our prophet Muhammad, his family and his companions.
